Setting up booking defaults

Setting up default choices for your most frequently used booking account can help you to make bookings faster.

Before you start

1.If you want to pay by credit/payment card (and your default account accepts card payments), you must set up at least one card BEFORE you set up booking defaults.

Some of your selections may not be reflected in the Booking screen - group/account settings take precedence over New Booking Defaults.

Actions

1.Select MY PROFILE > Sender Details and Defaults >  New Booking Defaults.
2. Account Details panel (mandatory)

This is a mandatory setting for saving New Booking Defaults.

a)Choose an account from the dropdown list.

After you save this setting, the system automatically goes to the selected account when you log in and updates the account navigator.

3. My Default Opening Page panel (mandatory)

This is a mandatory setting for saving New Booking Defaults.

a)Choose one of the screens from the Default Opening Page dropdown list. (Only options that are relevant to the selected account are listed.)

When you log in, the system automatically displays this Default Opening Page page for the account you selected in the Account Details panel above.

4. Help Panel

This choice affects all your booking accounts.

a)When you are familiar with the booking screen and its fields, tick Hide Help Panel on New Bookings.

The right-hand help panel collapses and maximises the screen width.

5. Sender Details panel
a)Tick Use My Details if you want to be the default sender for bookings you make on the account selected in the Account Details panel.

Otherwise, bookings will use the data from MY PROFILE > Sender Details and Defaults > Set Up Sender Details.

6. Booking Type panel
a)Select a Booking Type for bookings made on the account selected in the Account Details panel.

The Booking screen may not reflect your chosen booking type - group/account settings take precedence over New Booking Defaults.

7. Service Details panel
a)Pick a Service/Vehicle option for bookings made on the account selected in the Account Details panel.

The Booking screen may not reflect your chosen service/vehicle option - group/account settings take precedence over New Booking Defaults.

8. Notification Details panel

The Booking screen may not reflect your chosen notification(s) - group/account settings take precedence over New Booking Defaults.

a)Email and SMS notifications have to be set up separately.
b)Either set up the same notifications for all your accounts or just for the account selected in the Account Details panel. Tick Apply To All Accounts as required.
c)If you want to activate Email notifications, fill in the email address and tick the event(s) which, when completed, triggers the notification.
d)If you want to activate SMS notifications, fill in the mobile number and tick the event which, when completed, triggers the notification.
9. Card Details panel
a)Ensure that you have already set up the card information in MY PROFILE > Sender Details and Defaults > Set Up Sender Details BEFORE attempting to choose a default card in this panel.

In the New Booking Defaults screen, this panel is ONLY available for accounts which accept credit/payment cards.

b)Select a Card Type from the dropdown list and the rest of the card details are filled in automatically.

The selected card is used by default for bookings made on the account selected in the Account Details panel.

10.When you have finished, click one of:

Save (save and stay on the same page) / Save & Close (save and leave the page) / Close (cancel the changes).
