Concepts > Notifications Notifications |
Two types of notifications can be sent by the system at key points during the booking cycle:
| • | email notification to a nominated email address. |
| • | SMS notification to a mobile number. |
Bookers can define an email address and mobile number for email and SMS notifications sent from their default account (MY PROFILE > Sender Details and Defaults > New Booking Defaults).
The events which trigger the notifications are selected in the Booking screen and may include any of booking confirmation, item collection and item delivery.
|
the Booking screen may not reflect the chosen options - group/account settings take precedence over New Booking Defaults. |

Controlling notifications through group settings
Notification types are inherited as default account settings and may be modified by administrators through the group settings.
If the logged-in administrator has adequate permissions, the administrator can specify notification limits:
| • | Max. No. of Email addresses |
If an account already has a maximum value, an administrator can decrease the value through the admin/user group screens but not increase it.
The booker's group settings control whether or not a confirmatory email can be sent to confirm that any/all of these events have been completed (the system uses the email address entered by the booker/displayed in the Booking screen):
| a) | Booking confirmed. |
| b) | Item collected. |
| c) | Item delivered. |
| • | Max. No. of SMS addresses |
