Validation rules are applied in the Booking screens to verify Text-based user input in the booking code fields.
The validation rules can be set up by an administrator from any of the Group administration screens: Adding a New Admin Group or User Group and Viewing/Amending an Admin Group or User Group.

Example scenarios
Scenario 1
Your company gives every system user a unique code based on their first and last names. The format of the code is: uppercase letter+upper case letter++lower case letter+lower case letter+lower case letter.
CCccc checks that user input conforms to "2 upper case letters plus 3 lower case letters".
Scenario 2
Your company designates every department with a unique 3-character code of the form, upper case letter+upper case letter+digit plus a further optional two characters: digit/lower case letter+digit/lower case letter.
CCn{zz} checks that user input conforms to "2 upper case letters+1 digit+optional 2 digits or lower case letters or combination".
Scenario 3
Your company may use a booking code system that combines a four-character departmental code with user code of the form upper case+upper case+digit+digit+space+slash+space+lower case letter+digit or lowercase letter+digit or upper case letter.
CCnnS//SczZ checks that user input conforms to "2 upper case letters+2 numbers+ / +1 lower case letter+1 number or lower case letter+1 number or upper case letter".
