Security questions are generally used for enhancing login security and providing an additional filter level for invoicing purposes.
Before you start
| 1. | You must have administrator privileges for the accounts which need security questions. |
| 2. | Identify the consol code(s) and account(s) which will be associated with each set of security questions. |
| 3. | Define the security questions, the type of answer, the data required for the answers and the sequence in which the questions will be put to the user. |
Actions
| 2. | Select the required consol code from the dropdown list. |
| 3. | Go to the the panel and highlight one account from the list. |
Security questions can only be set up for one account at a time.
| 4. | Go to the panel. The account selected above is displayed in the read-only field, |
| 5. | Type a question in the field. |
The "question" should be clear and simple - do not type the question mark, as this is added automatically.
It should either allow the logged-in user to type free text, such as: "Type your manager's name", or require specific pre-defined data such as "Type the extension number for the SameDay help line".
| 6. | You can set up the field in two different ways: |
| a) | Leave it blank - users can type in any free text. If they leave the field blank it will be counted as a wrong answer. |
| b) | Create an answer - users have to type an answer that exactly matches this value or it will be counted as a wrong answer. Validation is not case-sensitive. |
| 7. | If you already know the sequence of questions, you can pick the right number from the dropdown list. |
Questions for the account are displayed in the panel.
| 9. | Repeat steps 4 to 8 as required. |
Recommendation: from the booker's point of view, answering more than two security questions can be frustrating and a handicap to making bookings quickly. Set only one or two questions per account.
| 10. | When you have created at least two security questions, you can adjust the question sequence number by using the arrows in the panel dropdown list if necessary. |
| 11. | When you have finished, click one of the following: |
Save (save and stay on the same page) / Save & Close (save and leave the page) / Close (cancel the changes).
